Privacy Policy

LinguaRocket is built around a simple promise: we keep as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, and the choices you have.

Audio is never stored; answers are discarded by default

Your exam audio is never stored — it is transcribed in memory and the recording is discarded immediately after scoring. Your written and spoken answers (essay text and transcripts) are also discarded after scoring by default. Only the resulting band scores and written feedback are saved to your account.

If — and only if — you turn on “Keep my answers for review” in your profile, we save your essay text and transcripts (never audio) so you can revisit them alongside the feedback. This is off by default, and you can delete your saved answers at any time from your profile.

Where scoring uses third-party AI processors (for speech-to-text, pronunciation analysis, or language grading), we require them to operate in zero-retention mode: your content is not stored by the processor and is never used to train their models. If a processor cannot run in this mode, our system refuses to send your content to it.

What we do collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication credentials.
• Subscription and billing status (payment details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us).
• Your results: band scores and written feedback for attempts you complete.
• Saved answers — only if you opt in to “Keep my answers for review” (text only, never audio; deletable anytime).
• Basic usage and device data needed to operate the service and keep it secure.

How we use your data

• To provide scoring, feedback, and progress tracking.
• To manage your account, subscription, and support requests.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us. You can delete any saved answers from your profile, and deleting your account removes your stored scores, feedback, and saved answers.
